Announcement    My line of scarves is designed for the woman who wants to look great with minimal effort. I hand dye each one with plant dyes in my studio; each one is done one at a time and is unique. The scarves are handwoven by fair trade artisans near the east coast of India. I design the weave structure and specify the fibers and dimensions.

The natural fiber scarves arrive and I begin my process of mixing color using indigo, cochineal, madder, weld, pomegranate and other dyes made from plants and insects. After the first dye bath, I will play with the color to alter the hue. This ensures a limited edition or one of a kind design of the scarves.

My goal is to enable you to stretch your wardrobe by creating new looks at a minimal cost. The scarves are washable, colorfast, and pack nicely for travel.
Eco friendly, sustainable and ethical fashion is embodied in each scarf.

I have always been passionate about fashion design. Weaving, spinning, dyeing with natural dyes, printing, collage work and dreaming of design permeate my day and nocturnal mind. Experimentation is a way of life for me, so I do not know what fabric will become once I begin the work. I work intuitively, starting with an idea and materials, and seeing what happens.
